BILTON: Crime Alert - Theft From a Vehicle Lime Tree Lane

Dear Resident

Humberside Police are investigating a report of a Theft from a vehicle from Lime Tree Lane, BILTON.

The incident occurred between 5:30pm Thursday 23 January and 8:15am Friday 24 January 2025. The offender(s) approached an MG vehicle parked on the street and removed a handbag with personal contents along with a bag of medication.

If you saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area around this time or have any information about the offenders please contact the police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting occurrence ref:  25*10328.

Alternatively you could call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. You don’t have to leave your name and you may even receive a reward.

To try and prevent any further occurrences please read through the below advice -

  • Keep the vehicle locked at all times
  • Do not leave any valuables or "interesting" items on display
  • Remove from the car any items not required for that journey
  • When at home park the car as near to your home as possible
  • When away from Home Park in a busy, well overlooked area. If the car will be there after dark try to find somewhere illuminated
  • Use a key signal blocker bag to protect your vehicles electronic entry code
  • Consider fitting a car alarm or other security measures visit www.securedbydesign.com for approved companies
